Case Study: Westwood Pipelines

Westwood Pipelines, situated in the beautiful area of Sandtoft, South Yorkshire, supply and manufacture plastic pipe systems for water and gas utilities.

Smart Energy Greater Lincolnshire has supported this business to become more sustainable through helping them to invest in energy efficient LED lights for their office and warehouse space.

The new LED lights have replaced fluorescent and old high-pressure sodium lights which have poor colour rendering; meaning that the new lights will offer better vibrancy and illumination improving works conditions.

This fantastic investment will only take less than a year to pay back!

Steve Brewer, Chief Executive at Westwood Pipelines, said that:

“the process for applying for the grant is quick and easy, Smart Energy kept me informed and were there to help, and since installing the new LED lights we have seen our electricity bills drop by 50%.”

The Smart Energy Greater Lincolnshire programme awarded a 38% grant of £3,876 towards the Westwood Pipelines energy saving project.

Westwood Pipelines is one of the many eligible businesses that has benefited from the Smart Energy Greater Lincolnshire programme. If you are looking to save money on your energy bills, get in touch today to see if your business is eligible.
