Do you run a public building?

If your building is in Greater Lincolnshire, we could help you become more energy efficient and save money.

Do you run a business?

Running a business can cost a lot of money, our programme is here to help you save money on your energy spend and to help you reduce your energy output.

“Smart Energy Greater Lincolnshire is the first project of its kind in the country and it has the potential to save thousands of tonnes of carbon emissions. It also reflects the wider priority across the area for developing renewables as a key sector for the economy. We want to bring the success that has been seen with offshore windfarms onshore and into a wide range of businesses that can also benefit from green energy.”

Smart Energy Greater Lincs is a £9.2 million project that provides a ‘one stop shop’ to provide energy and low carbon services for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as facilitating large scale investment in public infrastructure.

A total of £5.4 million of the project has come from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) to boost renewable energy use in SMEs, council and other public sector owned buildings in the area.

The package for businesses will include:

  • Dedicated energy support service available by email and phone
  • Promotion and delivery of energy efficiency reviews aimed at reducing energy consumption
  • Advice and expertise to organisations wanting to implement energy efficiency projects, as well as to those developing low carbon products and services
  • Support for renewable energy schemes
  • Installation of low cost energy efficiency measures on-site
  • Set up of a Smart Energy Network to encourage sharing of best practice
  • Provision of financial grants for energy efficiency measures that target heating efficiency and lighting
