This December join a free energy saving workshop to help your business save money and become sustainable in 2020.


The year of 2020 is fast around the corner! Why not set a new year’s resolution to save your business money by becoming ‘energy smart’.

You may be wondering how to go about this? Well… Smart Energy Greater Lincolnshire can provide you with the support your business needs to become energy efficient.

This December the programme will be holding their last free energy saving workshop of the year. Led by world renowned experts in energy and resource efficiency, businesses will learn about the latest knowledge on how to make their business ‘energy smart’. Our expert partners have worked with multi-national companies such as Continental, Procter and Gamble, Evonik to reduce their energy use.

The workshops cover a wide range of topics from LED lights, Solar PV, Heat pumps and much more.

Business will not only gain invaluable expert knowledge from the workshop, but eligible businesses can claim a £500 voucher to go towards an energy saving product of their choice.

Helen Norris, Programme Manager for Smart Energy Greater Lincolnshire, said that:

“Sustainability is a hot topic; there is lots of information out there, but businesses might not know where to start. Our programme is targeted at SME’s in the Greater Lincolnshire area, providing them with all the need to know knowledge to reduce their energy and carbon emissions”

“With sustainability targets and government intervention, the UK are looking to become sustainable and invest in alternative renewable solutions. Businesses need to think about investing in the future and our programme can help them with this. We want business to take advantage of the support we have on offer while it’s here. The programme is funded until March 2021”

For larger energy saving projects, Smart Energy also offer grants to cover up to 38% of the cost for larger businesses; depending on what the business would like to implement.

The programme offers a wide range of support from grants, free onsite audits and energy saving reports, expert advice and much more.

The workshop will be held in Grimsby on the 4th December.

In order to be eligible for the workshop you must be a small to medium businesses located in the Greater Lincolnshire area.

Smart Energy Greater Lincolnshire is a £9.2m project that has been partly funded by the European Regional Development Fund to help support business to save energy.
