Worried about the impact of your business on the environment? Become ‘energy smart’ this November!

With the call for action to reduce carbon emissions, it’s no surprise that businesses are looking for ways to reduce their environmental impact.

Our Smart Energy Greater Lincolnshire programme can help businesses to not only become greener, but lower the cost of your energy bills.

Our programme will be holding energy saving workshops this November to equip businesses with the latest knowledge on energy efficiency.

Business will not only gain invaluable expert knowledge, but will be given a £500 voucher to go towards an energy saving product for their business.

The workshops will be led by industry leading experts in energy and resource efficiency, University of Applied Sciences Trier’s Institut fur angewandtes Stroffstrommanagement (IfaS), who have worked with multi-national companies such as Continental, Procter and Gamble, Evonik to reduce their energy use.

During the workshops IfaS will share the latest thinking on how your business can become more energy efficient in lights, insulation, boilers, solar panels and much more.

With the recent announcement that the UK has called a ‘climate change emergency’, the Smart Energy programme is a great opportunity for businesses to gain expert support to become energy efficient.

Tony Neul, Assistant Director Energy and Environmental Policy, said that:

“Businesses are becoming increasingly aware of the impact they have on the environment, good and bad. Customers are changing their buying habits too, so it’s more important than ever that businesses are seen to act responsibly.  Smart Energy Greater Lincolnshire can help businesses demonstrate that they care and also cut fuel bills.  It’s a win win.”

Two workshops will be held this November. One on the 12th November at Bannantyne Health Club and Spa in Grimsby and another on the 13th November in Scunthorpe at the 20-21 Visual Arts Centre.

In order to be eligible for the workshop you must be a small to medium businesses located in the Greater Lincolnshire area.
